Invitation To Bid Notification System & Online Takeoffs
With DFS you can quickly create and send custom notifications to any of your contacts via email or fax. Send invitations to bid, notification of new addenda, contractor qualification statements, and more. You determine the content, they receive and respond to the notification. Manage all of your notifications through the online plan room.

In addition DFS integrates with online takeoff tools so you can access your plans from the plan room and perform estimates right online. No more highlighting or trying to track down the electronic formats of your plans. Organizing, coordinating and collaborating is now made easy and executable.

Design File Management
ReproMAX DFM™ is an advanced set of tools designed to allow all members of an AEC project team to create, manage and share electronic design documents from the very beginning of the project through the very end. When combined with ReproMAX DFS, the project has a powerful tool to make all aspects of document creation and distribution more efficient.

ReproMAX DFM is comprised of a number of modules that are optimized for each of the different users in an AEC Project. The DFM modules are described below:

  • DFM/File Sharing... is a tool that allows geographically distributed project team members to share electronic files as if they were working in the same room. Team members can create a folder structure to contain design files, reports, sketches, or any type of file that they need to share with other teammates. To add a document to the folder structure, they simply drag the files from their PC and drop them on the appropriate project folder in DFM/File Sharing. The system takes care of copying the files to the central project server, setting version control and creating viewable and printable versions of the documents. In seconds, teammates anywhere can quickly and easily exchange files with the appropriate security and version control to assure that the correct team members have the appropriate documents.
  • DFM/AutoCAD Manager... is a powerful tool that integrates with your AutoCAD system so all of your AutoCAD users can share design files quickly and easily. DFM/AutoCAD bundles all of your drawing xrefs, fonts, line information, etc, with the DWG files so that other design team members can work with your files without missing information. This allows the designer to focus on designing instead of emailing or FTPing files, creating print files, and assuring all team members have the correct document versions. DFM provides all these capabilities with a few simple mouse clicks.

DFS Steps-to-Go

  1. Choose An Access Option... Your private plan room can be accessed via a unique web-link on your website or via the dominionblue.com website.
  2. Decide On The Account Users... List the individuals who will have access to your plan room, and assign a password for each. Select your administrator; he or she will have full access to a portal and be able to view projects that are in a phase that's not accessible to other account users.
  3. Determine A Folder Structure... All drawings and documents are securely stored in the unique folder structure you choose. The initial structure can be easily modified throughout the life of the project. Plus, Design File Management can be added.
  4. Admin & Security... Prepare to discuss the following parameters with your Dominion Blue Account Representative: Subtrade access permissions, notification options, document description search and reporting options, instant print options, and facility managed printing.
