The Xerox® Colour 1000 Press delivers sharp, rich, digitally mastered image quality. Utilizing Xerox low melt, EA (Emulsion Aggregation) Dry Ink and new fusing technology, the Colour 1000 Press brings you an even wider colour gamut that can produce vibrant images with smooth sweeps that command—and hold—attention. Running all weights at rated speeds of 80 or 100 ppm, the Colour 1000 Press delivers one of the widest ranges of media handling, from a light weight 55 gsm to a hefty 350 gsm.

Colour 1000 low melt” EA Dry Ink technology uses no fuser oil, giving all your applications a smooth offset like finish. (You can even write on it - we've tried it!) Chemically grown, its small, consistent particles produce great quality with less toner, for smooth transitions. Advanced Xerox colour management technology with closed loop process controls enables vivid and consistent colour rendition.

The digital press prints at 2400 x 2400 dpi for excellent sharpness and uniformity, delivering outstanding midtones, crisp text, pure neutrals, detailed shadows, bright highlights and excellent photo rendering, perfect for today’s specialty photo applications. Greener Than Green

We all need to play a part in nurturing our planet, stopping the pollution that's causing our global warming and helping to renew our precious natural resources. We all need to be green, and printing on the Colour 1000 Press succinctly adds another plus to your sustainability statement.

The Colour 1000 exclusively uses dry ink toner. Dry ink toner is non-toxic and does not generate hazardous waste. Prints made with dry ink are readily recyclable using standard de-inking processes. Unlike some liquid ink technologies, with dry ink there is no use of petroleum distillates, which are combustible, produce oil waste and potentially contribute to volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions in the work environment.

If you have not already done so, you can further implement green business practices in the day-to-day running of your operation. Here are a couple of the green practices we support at Dominion Blue, and ones that will not only help save the environment but also help you save money:

Duplex print and copy. Using both sides of a page is the best way to reduce paper. All of our small format presses, Colour and B&W, are capable of printing on both sides of the sheet in a single pass.
Use recycled paper. We carry a vast variety of recycled papers, with 40% recycled now as our standard paper for copy centre and CAD plotting, and at our regular price. The paper industry's goal is to reach sixty percent paper recovery by 2012, according to the Paper Industry Association Council. Recycling paper fiber saves trees, energy, water and chemicals.
Use scanning to enable digital workflows. As a multifunction printer we've designed our file management technology to easily scan and store all of your work. Turning paper files into electronic ones is a part of what we do everyday. Scanning documents makes them easy to archive, print, email and retrieve. The next time you print, be sure to request that we archive it.
